Candace Walker, Kaylan Smith, Jordan Tate, and Tiffany
Thomas have their share of sorrows, but neither of them realizes how deep the
sorrow goes. What happens when they agree to meet for a weekend of
relaxation in beautiful Napa County? Which one will leave the same or worse?
For Candace Walker, life has left her battered and
bruised. Kaylan Smith has struggled with prejudice from her in-laws.
After fifteen years of marriage, bitterness is trying to raise its ugly head
for Jordan Tate, whose husband wants to call it quits. And for Tiffany Thomas,
dealing with rejection has never been one of her greatest feats.
Although they have been friends for years, they thought they
knew each other well. But will a secret destroy their relationship and bring
the sisterhood to a complete halt? Will they be able to forgive and allow God
to mend that which might be torn?
Candace
Walker- represent that mother, aunt, friend, sister,
grandmother, woman that just won’t own up to her decisions, she blames others
and instead of making things happen for herself she sits and waits for others
to do it for her. Most of the decisions have left her broke and without the
love she craves from her family. Candace just can’t get a break. She’s lived most of her life hiding behind
the shadows of her sister.
Kaylan
Smith- lacks for nothing. She comes from a very, very
wealthy family. Although her parents are wealthy, she has worked hard for what
she has. Kaylan is the peace maker in
the group; she is the organizer of the event.
Kaylan appears as though everything is in place in her own life but that
remains to be seen.
Jordan
Tate-
She represents the woman who hasn’t experienced too much turmoil in life. And when trials and tests come she has not
been prepared to handle it. Her trial
will rock her world.
Tiffany
Thomas- The men call her “high maintenance”. She has worked
her way up the corporate ladder by sacrificing many things in life. Tiffany is
that woman who knows what she wants. She has everything one could ever want in
life except a meaningful relationship. She has a list of what she is expecting
from the opposite sex. Is her list to much?
Each one of the characters are compelling people living
their own individual stories.
In addition to being an award winning author of Completely Whole and Secret Places Revealed, Paulette is an inspirational speaker, as well as a writing workshop instructor.
She has a passion to coach aspiring authors and speaks into the lives of women
from every walk of life. Her literary works have been spotlighted in a growing
number of publications, including CBN, Real Life Real Faith Magazine, Black
Pearls Magazine and The Sacramento Observer. She has also appeared on numerous
local and online radio shows.
